Our goal was simple: to visually demonstrate what makes WindowWorks the best in the biz for folks looking for high quality, contemporary window fashions. Along the way we uncovered other great things too. Like, how important great service has been in their growth and how amazingly talented they are at customizing draperies, fabrics and window treatments to make your home amazing! We only hope we’ve done them justice.

Windowworks is a local company in Richmond, BC. They specialize in:

Windowworks is the largest custom drapery and fine custom upholstered furniture workroom in western Canada. They also provide services for commercial purposes. They are also working on a design lounge area where tips and trends can be shared between users and the website.
The goal of a web marketing campaign for Windowworks will be to gain real estate space on search results for:
1. Window dressings
2. Window treatments
3. Workroom services
4. Custom draperies
These are some of the main keywords that we wanted to focus on and dominate in Google. The first step in any project is to analyze the business, content and competition. Once we finalize everything we go back to the website and run it through the various tools we use to determine where we could improve to make it easier for crawlers to go through the site. In this case we created the website so the basic build and structure was in good standing order. We optimized all the pages for its primary keyword and supported the primary keyword with a secondary keyword. Once that was complete, we decided to broadcast Windowworks through various outlets including:
• Social media
• Social bookmarking
• Reciprocal linking
• Directory submissions
• Actively working with other blogs that are relevant
Within a few months we could see the numbers rise accordingly with better rankings for major keywords. We are happy to record first page ranking for all the four primary keywords. Impressions are up 30% and clicks are higher by 60% on Google. New keywords are being added as time passes and the site ranks great for long tail keywords. The bounce rate is an industry average of 44.6% in the last 4 months. Pageviews are amazing sitting at a number of 3.41. Were now seeing clicks for major keywords not including the company’s name, which is a great sign.
With a little more work in terms of link exchanges, reciprocal linking and social media marketing we could improve all these numbers. We are confident to say that within the next few months Windowworks should not only rank for all their primary keywords, but also have returning users to find out what’s new on the website.
