The Hive

Search Engine Marketing


Hive Climbing is a really fun project that we’re proud of being a part of. They are in the process of finishing a gym in Vancouver BC and have asked us to design, develop and market their website on the Internet. They do provide a popular service which is rock climbing in doors so getting the word out there was not hard. Vancouver has a robust climbing community with highly competitive keywords that are hard to rank for and we took on the challenge head on.

We started with content building that was attractive and easy to read. Here’s what we did to get important questions answered to improve SEO:

• We studied Hive’s analytics to understand where the strong and weak points were
• We distributed surveys to see what people liked and didn’t like
• We read all the content and interviewed their CEO to understand the organizations persuasion assets
• And finally, we analyzed all of Hive’s major competitors to understand the strategies being used that are successful

Even though this is a new project and Google does take time to index websites, we have managed to rank Hive Climbing for some major keywords and have boosted targeted traffic by almost 70%. Overall search impression is up by 300% and clicks by 260%. Through reciprocal linking we are sure to rank hive climbing for all major keyword phrases within a few months. Now that’s SEO that we know and love!
